On December 25, 2025, the next meeting of the Scientific Council of Khazar University was held. The meeting was chaired by the Rector of the University, Dr. Raziya Isayeva, who brought the agenda items to the attention of the Scientific Council members.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Chair announced that a number of new appointments had been made at Khazar University. In this regard, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Ulkar Isayeva, Head of the Organizational and Documentation Department Sabina Guluyeva, and Coordinator of the Department of Economics and Management Polad Orujov were admitted to the membership of the Scientific Council based on their positions.
As the first item on the agenda, Dean of the Graduate School of Science, Art and Technology Gunel Bahaddinova and Dean of the School of Economics and Management Ingilab Ahmadov provided information about the students who graduated at the master's level from the university. In their presentations, the students' academic indicators, specializations, and relevant statistical information were brought to the attention of the Scientific Council members in detail. The list of graduates presented was approved by the Scientific Council.
The second item on the agenda concerned the appointment of dissertation topics and academic supervisors for students admitted to doctoral programs in 2025. The deans of the schools provided information on this matter, and the doctoral students presented on the relevance of their dissertation work, objectives, research questions, methodology to be used, and expected scientific results. Following the presentations, questions were addressed to the doctoral students by the Scientific Council members, and appropriate decisions were made.
Regarding the third and fourth items (the organization of the final examination session and the preparation of course loads for the spring semester of the 2025-2026 academic year) Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Muhammad Nuriyev provided information. He offered relevant recommendations regarding preparations for the final examination session and emphasized the importance of submitting course loads to the schools within a short period for the new semester.
At the end of the meeting, Rector Raziya Isayeva noted the necessity of preparing activity plans for each department and stated that those plans should reflect specific measures in the areas of teaching, research, and institutional development.
The Scientific Council concluded with the resolution of all items on the agenda.
