On February 4, 2026, a seminar titled “Real-World AI Impact” was held at Khazar University. The seminar was delivered by world-renowned scholar Professor Amir H. Gandomi, Professor of Data Science.
During the seminar, Professor Gandomi provided a comprehensive presentation on the real-world applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly its implementation in the field of Computer Science. He explained how modern AI approaches effectively address complex real-world problems and introduced Evolved Machine Intelligence (EMI), an advanced class of AI methods inspired by evolutionary principles.
The presentation covered topics such as genetic programming, big data analytics, automated learning, and the optimisation of complex systems.
It should be noted that Amir H. Gandomi is a Professor of Data Science at the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, University of Technology Sydney. He has authored over 500 journal papers and 14 books, with more than 77,000 citations (H-index: 119). He has been recognized as a Highly Cited Researcher by Web of Science for six consecutive years and is considered one of the most influential researchers in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
The seminar was attended by the leadership of Khazar University, academic and administrative staff, as well as students. The event was conducted in an interactive format, allowing participants to engage in discussions and receive detailed responses to their questions regarding current AI trends and future research opportunities.
