A scientific seminar titled "The Role of Folklore in the Emergence of Language Factors: Formation of a Common Communication Language" was held on November 25, 2025, at the Narimanov campus of Khazar University.
The organizer of the event, Assoc. Prof. Aynur Gazanfarghizi, coordinator of Khazar ICAF, spoke about the role of folklore in language development and the cultural and linguistic factors influencing the formation of a common communication environment.
Scholars invited from Kazakhstan also participated in the scientific gathering. Kapalbek Bizomart Seysenbekuly, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology and Director of the Institute for the Development of the State Language of Kazakhstan; Abasilov Aman Madelkhanuly, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology, Associate Professor and sociolinguist; and Biyarov Berdibek Nuraldauly, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology and onomastics specialist, delivered presentations at the seminar, discussing language connections among Turkic peoples, lexical and phonetic parallels, as well as the results of contemporary research conducted toward the formation of a common language model.
Within the framework of the event, current topics in the fields of linguistics, philology, and folklore studies were discussed. An interactive discussion was held with the participation of university students and young researchers, and an exchange of ideas on various scientific approaches took place during the question-and-answer session.
In conclusion, participants noted that such events provide significant support for the expansion of scientific cooperation among Turkic peoples and the strengthening of a common humanitarian platform.
