Students majoring in History-Geography Teaching at the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences of Khazar University participated in an excursion-lecture at the Museum-Exhibition Hall of the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of ANAS on November 19, 2025. The excursion-lecture was organized under the guidance of Orkhan Zamanov, instructor at the Department of History and Archaeology and director of the Scientific Exposition Organization Division of the institute.
The students were first provided with information about the main stages of Azerbaijan's archaeological heritage, the results of scientific research conducted in recent years, and the scientific-historical significance of the materials exhibited in the exposition. Subsequently, the groups entering the hall conducted visual observations of artifacts from various archaeological periods, household and domestic items, labor tools, and pottery. During the excursion, interactive question-and-answer sessions and small educational assignments were also presented with the aim of integrating students into the learning process.
This lesson held at the Museum-Exhibition Hall proved significant for the students both in terms of providing direct contact with archaeological materials and developing practical skills they can apply in their future professional activities.
