On October 27, 2025, the next online meeting on the 4th work package of the DIRNA project was held under the moderation of Aytac Misgarli, Director of the Library Information Center (LIC) of Khazar University, with the participation of all partner universities. The meeting was dedicated to the topic "Fundamental Concepts and Current Trends in Inclusive Education."
During the seminar, Dr. Kati Clements and Saana Mehtälä, staff members of the University of Jyväskylä in Finland, a partner in the DIRNA project coordinated by Khazar University, made presentations and shared their experiences with participants on topics such as "Gender Equality," "Inclusive Education Practices and Support Systems," "Inclusive Education Practices at the University of Jyväskylä," and "Future Directions in Inclusive Education and Artificial Intelligence."
During the presentations, fundamental concepts of inclusive education and issues of ensuring equal opportunities were discussed in detail. The experts emphasized the importance of creating accessible and equal environments where all individuals can participate fully.
During the seminar, the challenges faced by students with disabilities in the educational process and the significance of individual adjustments tailored to their needs were also discussed. Clements and Mehtälä noted the necessity of conducting research on the application of artificial intelligence in the field of diversity and inclusivity.
The presentation was received with great interest by the participants, and agreement was reached on continuing future discussions on the topic of inclusive education.
