On October 8, 2025, a training seminar dedicated to archaeological methodology was organized for the course "Fundamentals of Archaeology and Ethnography" for history teaching majors at the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, on the initiative of Orkhan Zamanov, instructor at Khazar University's Department of History and Archaeology. The guest of the seminar was Vafa Hasanova, head of department at the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and historian-artist.

Within the framework of the seminar, students were provided with detailed information about the main stages of the archaeological research process – the topography of monuments, stratigraphy of excavations, and the technique of preparing descriptions of findings. Based on the expert's presentation, students tested their practical skills by drawing illustrations of clay vessels using visual aids.

The practical experience was organized with the aim of enabling young historians to better master the science of archaeology and develop their practical skills, as well as to enhance their knowledge in the field of applied archaeology.

The lesson, conducted in an interactive format, generated great interest among students and further elevated the methodological level of the discipline.
