On July 2, 2025, a scientific-practical seminar on the topic "Archaeological Heritage of the Agstafa-Gazakh Region in Light of New Research" was held at the Gazakh Center of ADA University within the framework of the Gazakh Teachers' Seminary. The seminar was organized by the "Keshikchidag" State Historical-Cultural Reserve with the initiative of the State Service for the Protection, Development and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of ANAS, and with the support of the Agstafa District Executive Authority.
At the seminar, Dr. Yagub Mammadov, leading researcher at the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of ANAS and instructor at the History and Archaeology Department of Khazar University, delivered a presentation on "Results of Azerbaijan-Japan Joint International Archaeological Research Conducted in Damjili Cave in 2016-2023."
During the seminar, winners of the essay competition titled "Traces of History in Keshikchidag," conducted by the "Keshikchidag" State Historical-Cultural Reserve among students of general education institutions in Agstafa district, were awarded.
Following the completion of the seminar, a scientific tour was organized for the guests to the "Yovshanlıdere" burial mounds, where the project "Scientific Archaeological Excavations and Summer School-5 in Keshikchidag" is being implemented. The expedition leader provided comprehensive information about the archaeological excavation area and the rich artifacts discovered there.
