On November 18-22, 2024, Nurlan Nasirov, a lecturer from the History Department of Khazar University, and Sabina Guluyeva, a project manager from the Development Center, visited Yessenov University and the International Business University in Kazakhstan within the framework of the ERASMUS+ PICASP project.
It should be noted that the main objectives of the PICASP project (pilot courses for practice enterprises implementing university-industry cooperation to support the development of the Caspian region) are to develop new teaching methods with practice enterprises, organize courses on entrepreneurship and SME management, increase experience exchange with European Union partners, and ensure stakeholder participation in curriculum development and graduate employment.
The main purpose of the event was to present the report of results achieved at the end of the four-year project.
During the meeting, representatives of partner universities familiarized themselves with the campus and the PICASP room.
Comprehensive information was provided about the work done at both Kazakhstani universities, created MOOC trainings (massive open online courses), university-enterprise collaboration, industrial practice experiences, and other relevant aspects. Within the framework of the event, participants were also organized study visits to the State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Shymbulak-Medeu mountain ski complex, and the Tamgaly rock art museum-reserve.
