On November 6, 2024, a meeting of students with Theresa Tania Gebhardt, the Caspian and Black Sea Programs Specialist at the International Energy Agency (IEA), and Parviz Garibzade, the IEA's Azerbaijan expert, was organized by the Graduate School of Economics and Business at Khazar University.

After the introduction of the guests by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Ingilab Ahmadov, Theresa Tania Gebhardt delivered a presentation, which was followed by a Q&A session with the students.

During the meeting, the global issues of COP29 and climate change, as well as the energy transition perspectives of Azerbaijan, were also discussed. The students shared their  opinions on the topics.
