The Head of the Department of Political Science and Philosophy, Assoc. Prof. Orkhan Veliyev, participated in the 4th Manas Forum, delivering a presentation entitled “Geopolitical Fate of Azerbaijan: A Keystone State.” This event took place from October 16 to 18, 2024, in Istanbul, at the invitation of Professor Yasar Sari, Director of the Heydar Aliyev Eurasian Studies Center.
The forum was jointly organized by Ibn Khaldun University, the Heydar Aliyev Eurasian Studies Center, and the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, with support from various esteemed institutions, including the Turkish Ministry of Culture's Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TCCA), the Organization of Turkish States, Türksam, the Association of Turks Abroad and Related Communities, Ahmet Yesevi University, Ankara Social Sciences University, Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, Ankara Hacı Bayram University, Istanbul Commerce University, and Istanbul Gelisim University. The central theme of the forum was “Enhancing Connectivity and Cooperation in Eurasia.”
At the conclusion of the event, Professor Atilla Alkan, Rector of Ibn Khaldun University, and Professor Yasar Sari were presented with copies of Professor Hamlet Isakhanli's books "My Karabakh or the Karabakh Knot" and "At the Edge of the Caspian" as expressions of appreciation.
