Fourth-year students majoring in Philology (Azerbaijani Language and Literature) at the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences of Khazar University have started their Folklore Scientific Research Internship at the Institute of Folklore of ANAS (Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences) for the fall semester of the 2024-2025 academic year. The internship aims to apply the theoretical knowledge gained by students during their educational process in the context of modern scientific approaches and to develop their research skills.
Assoc. Prof. Hikmat Guliyev, the scientific secretary of the Presidium of ANAS, who supervises the internship, introduced the students to Assoc. Prof. Afag Ramazanova, Ph.D. in Philology, acting director of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS. During the meeting, extensive information was provided about the scientific research carried out at the Institute of Folklore, significant achievements, and periodicals. Recently published scientific monographs and books containing newly collected folklore samples were also discussed. Topics of interest to students, including the collection of folklore and its investigation based on academic principles, were discussed during the meeting.
It should be noted that the students' scientific research internship will conclude at the end of December.
