In May 2024, the Department of Economics and Management organized three online seminars. The speakers were PhD students studying at Exeter University and Istanbul University within the framework of the "State Program for Increasing the International Competitiveness of the Higher Education System in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019-2023".
On May 6, Ali Mammadov, a doctoral student at Exeter University shared his findings on “Green Technology and Firm Performance”. He emphasized the positive influence of Eco innovation on both environmental and financial performance of a firm. In his study, Mammadov reported the main factors that help or hinder the transition to EI.
On May 14, Murad Aliyev, a doctoral student at Istanbul University, presented the topic "Work-life Balance in the Work Environment" to the students and staff of the department. He emphasised the importance of work-life balance in modern life. Then he discussed the various techniques that different companies use to prioritize employee well-being.
On May 15, Mahammad Cherkazov, a doctoral student at Istanbul University provided an overview of "time series" within the econometric context, enlightening students on foundational topics in time series analysis. Then he shared information on the use of various statistical tests that are important for identifying cointegrating relationships.
All three seminars fostered high interactivity through questions and discussions by students of the School of Economics and Management.
