Mathematics Department Professor's Article in "Fractal and Fractional" Journal

An article titled "Fractal Sturm-Liouville Theory" by Professor Bilender Allahverdiyev from the Mathematics Department of Khazar University has been published in the journal "Fractal and Fractional" (2025, Volume 9, No. 5). It should be noted that the journal "Fractal and Fractional" is indexed in the "Web of Science" and "Scopus" databases.

This paper provides a short summary of fractal calculus and its application to generalized Sturm-Liouville theory. It presents both the fractal homogeneous and non homogeneous Sturm-Liouville problems and explores the theory’s applications in optics. We include examples and graphs to illustrate the effect of fractal support on the solutions and propose new models for fractal structures.
