On May 8, 2025, a meeting was held at Khazar University with a delegation from the Federal University of Islamabad. The meeting was attended by the delegation led by the Rector of the University, Muhammad Kaleem Asif, Acting Rector of Khazar University Prof. Mohammad Nuriyev, Dean of the Graduate School of Science, Art and Technology Dr. Gunel Bahaddinova, Head of the Department of Physics and Electronics Dr. Farida Tatardar, Head of the International Relations Department Fatima Valiyeva, and lecturer of the Department of Economics and Management Dr. Mahammad Charkazov and, lecturer of the Department of Computer Science Hafiz Muhammad Azeem Akram.

During the meeting, discussions were held on strengthening bilateral relations, and a Memorandum of Understanding was signed.

At the end, gifts were presented and commemorative photos were taken.
