Gulshan Aliyeva, Ph.D. in geriatric psychology and lecturer at Khazar University's Psychology Department, authored an article titled " Improving mental health and quality of life of aging population", which was published in "Journal of Awareness" (2024, vol. 9, no. 1, p. 191-200).

The "Journal of Awareness" is a significant European reference index for humanities and social sciences, established in 2016. It serves as an internationally recognized platform for publishing high-quality theoretical and applied articles in humanities. The primary objective of the article is to explore the psychological dimensions of aging through research conducted on the elderly population in Azerbaijan.

The study's findings revealed notable disparities in depression symptom scores among participants with and without family support across various demographic categories.
