From February 26 to March 1, 2024, the EURIE-2024 Education Summit was officially opened at the Lütfi Kırdar International Congress Center (ICEC) in Istanbul. Dr. Mustafa Aydin, president of the Eurasian University Union (EURAS), opened the summit with his opening address.
Alovsat Amirbeyli, the director of Public Relations and Media of Khazar University, and Fatima Valiyeva, the head of International Relations Department, participated in the summit. The EURIE-24 Summit is a meeting place for university representatives and higher education professionals. This annual event consists of exhibitions and conferences, facilitating networking and fostering new partnership opportunities for participants.
The program of the EURIE-2024 Summit included panel sessions, round tables, meetings with prominent education representatives, as well as an education exhibition. Khazar University's delegation actively engaged in the educational exhibition and other activities throughout the summit.
During the event's first day, panel sessions explored the roles of universities in the context of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation, as well as internationalization and mobility. The next day, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between EURAS and AARU (Association of
Arab Universities), and at the end of the day, a EURIE Gala dinner was organized. In the Lounge Showcase organized as part of the event, Fatima Valiyeva, head of the International Relations Department of Khazar University, provided an overview of the university's activities.
At the exhibition, representatives of Khazar University gave information about the activities of the university, the admission process of foreign students, and scholarship opportunities at the university's stand. In addition, the representatives viewed the stands of the university's partners, and negotiations were held with other universities for new collaborations.
The event was attended by official guests, The president of Council of Higher Education, ministers, MPs, education ministers of a number of countries. They got to know the pavilion of Khazar University. 6 universities from Azerbaijan were represented at the exhibition.
