The article "Embodiment of the Manhood in Folklore: Keeping Secret From Women in Azerbaijan" co-authored by Hikmet Guliyev, a lecturer of the Department of Languages and Literatures of Khazar University, PhD in philology, associate professor, was published in "Issues in Ethnology and Anthropology" journal (2023, volume 18, No. 4, pp. 1193-1217). Notably, this journal, affiliated with the Department of Ethnology and Anthropology at the University of Belgrade, Serbia, is indexed in the "Web of Science" database.
For the first time in the article, the metaphorical-symbolic expression of socio-psychological complexes in the real and virtual socio-cultural environment was involved in the research, and in the light of the socio-anthropological approach, the stereotypical thinking of male social groups about "keeping secrets" from women in the Azerbaijani environment was brought to the center of attention. The research reveals that the ability to keep a secret is particularly esteemed within male collectives, forming a stereotype in relation to women. And the stereotypes of men keeping secrets from women are met with laughter and irony, contrary to tradition, in emerging Internet folklore.
