On December 13, 2023, a scientific-practical seminar titled "Financier and Accountant Profession: Latest Trends in Business and University Education" was conducted by the "Economist" student development club under the Department of Economics and Management at Khazar University. Samir Agayev, an experienced expert in finance, tax accounting, and BERC Group, delivered a presentation during the seminar, attended by approximately 60 students. Samir Agayev shared insights into the knowledge and skills essential for shaping students into industry-ready professionals, detailing methods and forms of acquisition, the current landscape of the job market for finance-focused roles, and existing opportunities, threats, and prospects.

The seminar fostered interactive discussions on nuances of finance and accounting professions, job responsibilities, key requirements in the job market, financial accounting legislation, software, international and local certifications, soft and hard skills, opportunities for financial education and personal development, and a comparative analysis of university approaches to training financiers and accountants with the business world.

Following the session, students posed additional questions on the topic, receiving answers and recommendations for more comprehensive preparation in financial-oriented subjects taught at the university.
