On November 16, 2023, a meeting was held at Khazar University involving the administration of Rauf Denktas University from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. The attendees included Serdar Denktas, the chairman of the university's board and president of the Rauf Denktas Foundation, Mehmet Hasguler, the deputy chairman of the board, Irada Khalilova, the rector of Khazar University, Alovsat Amirbeyli, the director of Public Relations and Media, and Fatima Valiyeva, the head of the International Relations Department.

The purpose of the meeting was to enhance mutual relations between the universities, with both institutions exchanging information about their respective programs and scholarships in a discussion-oriented atmosphere.
