On October 27, 2023, a conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye "Historical review of Azerbaijan-Türkiye brotherly relations in 100 years" organized jointly by Türkiye's TRT channel and Khazar University, was held in the Marble Hall of the University. The event was attended by Khazar University administration, staff and students, historians and experts of the field, the administration of the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan, TRT employees.

The conference began with the performance of the national anthems of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Türkiye. Then a small concert program was presented to the participants with the participation of singer Mahsati Jabbarova, vocal teacher of the University and ashig music teacher, ashig Ramin Karayev.

The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Azerbaijan, Assoc. Prof. Cahit Bagci, delivered a speech and said that the Turkish-Azerbaijani brotherhood existed in every period in accordance with historical conditions, and finally it was established in the form of one nation. Acad. Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli, the founder of Khazar University and chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, spoke about the steadfastness of this fraternity over a hundred years ago and concluded his speech with the words: there has never been a second such fraternity between nations.”

After the first part, which was hosted by Dr. Sohrab Mustafayev, coordinator of the Department of History and Archeology, the event continued moderated by Dr. Telman Nusratoghlu, head of the Department. Elnar Mammadli, one of the hosts of the “Main Topic” program of AZTV, Nasiman Yagublu, professor of Baku State University, Akif Ashirli, head of the Azerbaijani Turkish Hearth, and Dr. Sohrab Mustafayev, coordinator of the Department of History and Archeology, delivered speeches on the conference.

The conference ended with discussions and answers to questions.
