The newly published “Goychay Encyclopedia” contains an article about Firangiz Sadiyar Nasirova, "Advanced Education Worker", the senior lecturer at the Department of English Language and Literature at Khazar University.
The article notes that in 1970, F. Nasirova graduated from the Azerbaijan Institute of Foreign Languages (now Azerbaijan University of Languages-AUL) with honors in the specialty of English teacher. In 1970-1991, she worked as an instructor at Azerbaijan Institute of Foreign Languages. She has been working at Khazar University since then. She was the dean of the Preparatory Faculty, the director of the Audio-video Center, and currently continues her work as a senior teacher. In 1990-1992, she also worked as an English teacher at the Business College under the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy (now ASOIU).
As part of her scientific activity, she worked at the University of Los Angeles, USA, Nottingham Trent University, UK, Salzburg Educational and Cultural Center in Austria, attended various conferences and events. She was awarded a number of international certificates on teaching methods of English language and literature.
Since 1999, at the same time, she has been working as a consultant at the Center for Work with Foreign Diplomats of the British Embassy. Her main field of research is "English Literature: Shakespeare in Classical and modern times".
