Famil Ghalib Karimov was born in 1984. In 2001 - 2005, he received his bachelor's degree with honors in "Finance and Accounting" at Khazar University. In 2013-2014 he received a master's degree in “Business Management” (“MBA”) from IE Business School in Spain. Since 2013, he has been a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (“FCCA”) in the United Kingdom. During 2005-2013, he held various positions in foreign audit companies such as” Deloitte “ and ”Baker Tilly".

Since 2015, he has worked as the director of the Commercial and Operations Department at "Southern Gas Corridor" CJSC, and since 2016 as the Chief Financial Officer and Deputy General Director of Gilan Industrial Group. Since 2018, he has worked as the head of the Strategic Management Office at Gilan Holding and at the same time as a member of the Board of Directors. From the summer of 2021, he is a member of the Supervisory Board of "AFB Bank" OJSC.
