On September 15, 2023, a ceremony dedicated to the start of a new academic year was held at Khazar University. The university administration, faculty deans and heads of departments, faculty members, students admitted to the university and parents attended the event.

The ceremony started with the State Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli, the founder of Khazar University, chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, delivered a speech and, in addition to providing general information about the university, spoke about its unique features. He noted that the University, which was established as an English-language higher education institution, developed through integration into the world education system and managed to train highly qualified graduates.

The speaker especially emphasized that in the light of the opening of the university to the world, substantial work is underway to ensure that students are active carriers of national and moral values. Khazar University ranks high in the world and regional rankings of universities.

Rector of the University Assoc. Prof. Irada Khalilova, informed about the effective conditions created for the education of students, noted that cultural and sports events are held regularly for their comprehensive development, and that Khazar University is a student-centered higher education institution.

Dr. Fakhranda Afandiyeva, dean of the School of Science and Engineering, Dr. Jeyhun Mammadov, dean of the School of Economics and Management, Assoc. Prof. Elza Samadova, dean of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, spoke and gave information about the faculties and specialties.

The speakers congratulated the students and parents, wished the students a successful educational life.

At the end, the students were invited to the auditorium and another new academic year began at Khazar University.
