Psychology Department coordinator at the seminar on "Gender stereotypes in marital relations"

Melek Karimova, coordinator of the Department of Psychology at Khazar University, spoke at a seminar on “Gender stereotypes in marital relations” at "Chinar" Book House in Baku, 2023, on August 28, with the financial support of the European Union, the Organization of the UN Population Fund and the support of the virtual platform “Men for Gender Equality”.

In her speech, Melek Karimova spoke about the reasons leading to gender inequality and gender stereotypes in marriage relations, the importance of the active role of men in protecting women's rights. She also expressed her thoughts and considerations on the issue " “How can we increase the number of good fathers who support their daughter’s education, do not force her to marry before marriageable age, and support her development as a person?”.
