The General Assembly of World Council of Sinologists and the Third Dialogue on Exchange and Mutual Learning Among Civilization were held in Beijing
The event, jointly organized by Chinese Association for International Understanding and World Sinology Center, was attended by Professor, Academician Hamlet Isakhanli, founder of Khazar University, chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, and Agshin Aliyev, head of the Department of Azerbaijani Language of Beijing Foreign Studies University, as well as director of Khazar University China Studies Center, Ph.D. in Philology. During the general assembly, the Alliance of Universities of Sinology was founded. Khazar University was chosen as a founding member of the alliance. More than 100 Chinese scholars from 71 countries participated in the general assembly and conference. Their main purpose is to deepen mutual understanding and cooperation, to create a dialogue between people and societies representing different cultures, and to develop scientific relations within the framework of the science of Chinese studies (sinology).
Close educational and academic ties exist between Khazar University and various Chinese universities. During the past years, student exchanges, scientific conferences, mutual visits of scientists have been held in accordance with the relevant memorandums of understanding concluded between China's Beijing University of Foreign Studies, Shanghai University, Beijing University of Language and Culture, Schengen University, Anhui Agricultural University and Khazar University. Note that in October 2022, the China Studies Center was established at Khazar University within the framework of cooperation with the World Sinology Center.
