On April 14, 2023, the VI meeting of the General Assembly of the Union of National Academies of Sciences of the Turkic World was held with the support of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University as part of the Science Week. The meeting was attended by the founder of Khazar University, the chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, professor, academician Hamlet Isakhanli, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, the president of the International Turkish Academy, Shahin Mustafayev, the president of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Isa Habibbayli, the vice-president of ANAS, Ibrahim Guliyev and others.
The meeting participants reviewed the ways of developing scientific cooperation in the Turkic world and exchanged views.
After the event, professor, academician Hamlet Isakhanli, founder of Khazar University and chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, signed a memorandum of scientific cooperation with Janseit Tuymebayev, rector of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi.
The purpose of the memorandum is to develop relations between universities, conduct joint scientific research and improve the skills of scientific personnel.
Within the framework of the memorandum, the parties will jointly use the library and scientific funds, exchange scientific research materials and publications, organize joint seminars and conferences, and implement scientific and academic projects.
An agreement was also signed between Khazar University and the Kazakh-British Technical University to take steps towards cooperation, education and scientific research.
