On April 10, 2023, Rovshan Abbasov, head of Khazar University's Geography and Environment Department, met with the students and teaching staff of “The International School of Azerbaijan” (TISA) at the invitation of the school. At the meeting, Rovshan Abbasov gave detailed information about the cleaning project carried out on the shores of Sumgait of the Caspian Sea, and discussed the negative effects of industrial waste pollution.

Then Rovshan Abbasov answered the students' questions. At the same time, possible cooperation between TISA school and Khazar University in the field of environment was discussed.
