On April 7, 2023, a seminar on "Karabakh and history" by professor, academician Hamlet Isakhanli, founder of the university, chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, was held in the Marble hall of the Khazar University Nefchilar campus, organized by the Department of Political Sciences and Philosophy.
Khazar University administration and employees, students, representatives of science and literature of the country participated in the seminar.
The seminar moderated by Rahimkhanim Aghazade, the fourth-year student of the department, began with an introductory speech by dr. Orkhan Valiyev, head of the Department of Political Sciences and Philosophy. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played after a minute's silence in memory of the martyrs of the Patriotic War, who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
Professor Hakan Yavuz from the University of Utah (USA), Associate Professor Ramin Sadık, lecturer of the Department of History at Bayburt University (Turkey), Dr. Nurlan Nasirov, head of the Department of History at the Western Caspian University, Fuad Chiragov, deputy director of the South Caucasus Research Center, historian Akbar Najaf, writer Agshin Yenisei, Istanbul University's doctoral student of History Department Dilgam Ahmed participated in the hybrid
format seminar, expressed their opinion about H. Isakhanli’s book "My Karabakh or the Karabakh Knot".
After the guests discussion of the book and the topic, H. Isakhanli made a speech on” Karabakh and history “and said that the great victory in the 44-day Patriotic War was the main motivation for writing the book” My Karabakh or the Karabakh Knot".
The seminar ended with a question and answer session.
