Within the framework of the Erasmus+ project entitled "Establishment of a Rectors' Conference in Azerbaijan", partnered by Khazar University, coordinated by Baku Business University and funded by the European Commission, another visit took place to the city of Stockholm, the Kingdom of Sweden. The trainings attended by 32 representatives from 16 higher educational institutions of Azerbaijan were held from February 27 to March 3, 2023.
The key purpose of the trainings held under the title "The role of the Rectors' Conference in the development of the higher education system" at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology was the development of research and innovation activities in universities. According to the training program, leaders of the Swedish Rectors' Conference, the Spanish Rectors' Conference, the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) of Belgium and the Swedish Royal Institute of Technology delivered presentations, discussed and exchanged ideas in very important areas such as research and innovation systems in Sweden, Spain and the global environment in general, quality issues in research, publishing infrastructure serving the scientific activities of researchers, as well as doctoral studies on the Swedish experience, and recruitment of doctoral students.
During the training, group work was also carried out on the activities of the Rectors’ Conference. At the end of the program, Gulshan Bayramova, director of Center of Baku Business University, project coordinator, and Elchin Suleymanov, chairman of the Science Committee, established as a pilot under the ECAR project, discussed the implementation of the activities carried out within the framework of the project and the important tasks facing it, as well as the future action plan of the mentioned Committee.
Khazar University was represented by deputy dean of the Graduate School of Science, Arts and Technology Gunel Bahaddinova.
