On February 27, 2023, a literary and cultural event was held on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy at the Fikret Amirov Conference-Concert Hall in the downtown campus of Khazar University. The event was organized by the initiative of the "Art" student association and the organization of the English Language and Literature Department. By reciting poems, showing scenes, and demonstrating video clips, the students managed to present the wide program they prepared at a high level.

At the end of the event, Milana Abbasova, the head of the department, delivered a speech and thanked the students.
