The article by Elza Ismayilova, the lecturer of the Department of Languages and Literatures of Khazar University, was published in the " Philological issues" journal entitled "Kosa Safar in the Koroghlu epic (based on Azerbaijani and Turkish versions)" in the journal of " Philological issues " (No. 1, 2023, pp. 337-349).
In the article, based on the sources, it is noted that Kosa Safar, one of Koroglu's young men( deli), like Deli Hasan, Giziroglu Mustafa Bey, Tanrıtanımaz and others, was not a bandit and a fictitious person, but a real-life Jalali bandit. At the same time, on the basis of various facts, it is concluded that Kosa Safar also participated in the Jalali rebellions that took place in Anatolia, was captured in the Sufiyan battle that took place between the Ottomans and the Safavids, and was killed by the order of Shah Abbas I.
