On December 16, 2022, Erasmus+ Information Day was held jointly organized by Khazar University and the National Erasmus+ Office. The position of the Erasmus+ program in education, advantages, new projects and many important topics were discussed at the event held at Khazar University. About 80 participants from various universities and organizations took part in the event. At the same time, online participation was also provided to bring the event to a larger audience.
Professor, academician Hamlet Isakhanli, founder of Khazar University, chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, spoke about his sincere opinions, the history of Erasmus and the origin of the word Erasmus, and opened the conference by sharing his knowledge and experience with the event participants. Rector of the University, associate professor Irade Khalilova, greeted the event participants and wished them success.
The head of the National Erasmus+ Office of Azerbaijan, Parviz Bagirov, informed the event participants about the main advantages of the Erasmus+ program for the years 2021-2027 and the current projects. Vusala Gurbanova, leading consultant of the Higher and Secondary Specialization Department of the Ministry of Science and Education, spoke about national priorities in the field of higher education and the ministry's support for the Erasmus+ program.
Vlad Vernygora, Khazar University's vice-rector for International Relations, gave enlightening information about the Erasmus+ program and Khazar University's experiences in the field of project writing and management. Associate professor of the University's Department of Life Sciences Javid Ocagi talked about the project called "Happy animals for sustainable production and consumption (HANimSPAC)" founded by the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.
At the end, the question-and-answer session began and the event concluded with "networking".
