On December 2-3, 2022, the "The third International Conference on the Philosophy of Language, Literature and Linguistics, ICPL2022 (ICPL 2022)" was held in a hybrid format under the joint organization of Khazar University English Language and Literature Department and Azerbaijan Comparative Literature Association. Some of the articles included in the conference were sent by researchers from Azerbaijan, and others from Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Italy, France, Malaysia and Belarus.
The opening ceremony of the conference began with the welcome speech of Milana Abbasova, PhD in Philology, acting head of the Department of English Language and Literature. Rector of the university, associate professor Irada Khalilova, spoke about the importance of the conference and wished success to the participants. Then national dances performed by the university's dance ensemble were presented.
Later, the key note speakers - the founder of Khazar University, the chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, professor, academician Hamlet Isakhanli, the head of the department of Azerbaijani literature of Baku Slavic University and the co-chair of the conference, professor Rahila Geybullayeva, delivered speeches. Other key note speakers Dr. Davud Kuhi (Islamic Azad University, East Azerbaijan, Iran) and Dr. Antonio Taglialatella (University of Basilicata, Italy) welcomed the participants of the conference in online format and made speeches. The last key note speaker of the opening ceremony was Huseynaga Rzayev, professor of the English Language and Literature Department of Khazar University.
After the opening ceremony, researchers from different universities spoke in two sessions with 4-5 panels each.
The 2nd day of the conference took place in the Fikret Amirov Conference-Concert Hall on the Downtown campus of Khazar University. After the closing ceremony, the performance prepared by the lecturer of the department, Rena Ozen, together with the students was demonstrated. The performance was based on the work of Paulo Coelho called "The Alchemist". After watching the performance, the conference participants visited the Ateshgah State Historical Architectural Reserve.
