On November 22-24, 2022, Kamala Mustafayeva, assistant of the Quality Assurance Center of Khazar University, participated in the event on "Quality Assurance in Higher Education" held within the framework of the Erasmus+ program at Baku Business University.
The purpose of the event is to transfer the quality assurance practices of the higher educational institutions of foreign countries that are partners of Baku Business University, including the universities of England, Sweden, Spain, Italy, Turkey and Poland, to the higher educational institutions of Azerbaijan. In addition, one of the main goals is to ensure the sustainability of the ERASMUS+KA2 project "Development of Quality Assurance Centers in Azerbaijan Universities" and to form a research group to improve internal quality assurance systems in partner higher education institutions. At the event, the Chairman of the Board of the Agency for Quality Assurance in Education, representatives of 7 universities from 6 leading European countries - England's Middlesex University, Spain's Jaen University, Italy's Tuscia University, Turkey's Dokuz
Eylul University, Poland's WSG University and Katowice University of Economics, 70 of Azerbaijan's 33 higher education institutions close representatives, including rectors, vice-rectors and persons responsible for quality assurance participated.
On the first day of the event, presentations were held on the topics "The role of quality assurance in higher education", "The quality assurance system of the University of Jaen", "The Spanish planning and evaluation system", "The establishment and implementation of the internal quality assurance system at the University of Tuscia", "The essence and benefits of self-assessment activities in quality assurance", "Mechanisms for ensuring the quality of teaching and establishing the teaching process in the experience of Polish universities".
In the following days of the training, foreign partners conducted seminars and group work in such important areas as the functions of the committees on the educational program, the evaluation of the professor-teaching staff, the role of deans in quality assurance, strategic planning, internal audit, and conducting satisfaction surveys.
