On November 3, 2022, a meeting was held between Middle East Technical University and Khazar University.

The meeting was attended by the founder of Khazar University, chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, professor, academician Hamlet Isakhanli, rector of the university associate professor Irade Khalilova, vice-rector for Educational Affairs professor Mahammad Nuriyev, vice-rector for Administration and Student Affairs Isakhan Isakhanli, director of Public Relations and Media Alovsat Amirbeyli, Saida Sharifova, dean of the Graduate School of Science, Arts and Technology, Elza Samadova, dean of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, Jeyhun Mammadov, dean of the School of Economics and Management, Fakhranda Alimardanova, dean of the School of Science and Engineering, Fatima Valiyeva, coordinator of the International Relations Office, Middle East Technical University rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Varshan Kok and vice rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet T. Zeyrek.

Elza Samadova, Dean of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, provided detailed information about Khazar University and its activities.

The meeting concluded with an agreement on enhancing bilateral relations and discussions about strengthening academic and partnership relations.

At the end of the signing ceremony, gifts were exchanged between the parties.

Note that the Middle East Technical University was established in Ankara in 1956.
