Education expert Nabatali Gulamoglu, who gave an interview to AzEdu.az on September 19, 2022, noted that "the quality of education provided by private universities is very low. Today, among the private higher education institutions in our country, only Khazar University is able to provide high-quality education. Most of the other private universities are only in the hands of the oligarchs. The main goal here is not education, but income."

The expert added that "the purpose of every private allocation is to earn a certain amount of income, but one of the important points here is to appropriate the income in a legal way. If a job is done, it is necessary to earn income in return. Nobody forbids it. But if education is sacrificed for money and income, here development is out of the question."

Stating that among the country's private universities, Khazar University ranks among the world's higher education institutions according to its ranking, the expert finally emphasized that "education in state universities is free, but it should also be noted that many students choose Khazar University instead of BSU. This also depends on the mechanism of the university's self-presentation."
