On September 12, 2022, the first meeting of the English language and literature department with the teaching staff in the new academic year was held.

Milana Abbasova, coordinator and acting head of the department, opened the meeting with congratulatory words on the occasion of the new academic year, then gave the floor to the teaching staff. Huseynaga Rzayev, who many years later continued to cooperate with the Khazar University and now works as a professor at the department spoke at the meeting.

The department's plans for the new academic year, updates on classes and other current issues were discussed at the meeting.
