On June 25, 2022, an international conference called "Shusha and Turkish civilization: historicity and modernity" was held under the organization of the Turkish World Scientific Strategic Research Center (TDESAM).

Scientists from the countries included in the Organization of Turkic States and Crimea participated in the conference with scientific reports. Khazar University was represented by associate professor Khatira Yusifova, the member of the Board of Directors of TDESAM, the lecturer at the Department of Languages and Literatures, with a report entitled "Definition of political figures in the works of Abdi bey Garahisari".
