On June 7, 2022, Valida Kerimova, PhD student at Khazar University successfully defended her dissertation entitled "The concept of the lower and upper layers of the sentence in the syntactic training of Noam Chomsky" at Dissertation Council No.ED 2.12 at Azerbaijan University of Languages granting degrees Doctor of Science and Doctor of Philosophy.

At the meeting chaired by the chairman of the dissertation council, academician Kamal Abdullayev, the questions of the board members were answered after Valida Karimova delivered her presentation.

The Dissertation Council decided that the applicant can be granted Ph.D. degree taking into account the opinions of official opponents, individual scientists on the dissertation and its abstract, a book ( in Germany), as well as 28 articles on scientific work, published in local and foreign scientific journals, the dissertation’s meeting the requirements of the Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
