Khazar University's Department of Geography and Environment celebrated World Environment Day on May 4, 2022, with students majoring in geography and history- geography at the Absheron National Park.

Rovshan Abbasov, Head of the Department and Member of the Multidisciplinary Expert Panel of the International Panel on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services, spoke on the topic to students and the young on environmental protection, ecosystem protection, climate change mitigation, water management, solid and household waste management. He spoke about the international experience in the field, as well as the level fluctuations in the Caspian Sea.

Then the students marched to Shah Split.
