Seminar Held at Languages and Literature Department

On January 17, 2020, Khazar University hosted a seminar entitled “The Presence of Sağır nun in Turkish dialects” organized by the Department of Languages and Literature. The speaker of the seminar was Doctor of Philosophy Ilaha Gurbanli.

Following the introduction speech and presentation of the topic by Dr. Dilbar Zeynalova, the Head of the Department of Languages and Literature, seminar participants listened to the lecture presented by the speaker on “The presence of Sağır nun in Turkish dialects”. The speaker talked about Turkish literary languages and dialects, as well as some of the issues in the classification. Further on she gave detailed information on the current state of the “sağır nun” sound. She described in an extensive manner the current state of this sound in Turkish dialects. At the end, the speaker listened to the participants' comments and answered their questions.
