On October 26, 2018, a solemn ceremony dedicated to the 8th and 9th graduation from Potential School Principals Course was held in “Marble” hall at Khazar University. The ceremony was attended by the University administration, staff, students, and course graduates. The ceremony started off by Khazar University anthem. Then, Chamber Orchestra of Khazar University (art director: a pianist Zulfiyya Sadigova, Honored Teacher, Head of the Department of Music and Fine Arts) performed a concert program that included compositions produced by Azeri and foreign composers.
Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli, Founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, delivered a speech and mentioned the obligations of Azerbaijani education system and underlined the importance of management skills and experience gained during a three-month course. Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli also gave valuable advice to the graduates and wished them success.
Then the graduates were presented with “Professional Development Certificate” by Prof.Hamlet Isakhanli, Dr. Isakhan Isakhanli, Vice rector for Administration and Student Affairs; Assoc.Prof. Irada Khalilova, Vice-rector for Research; Assoc.Prof. Elza Samadova, Dean of the School of Education. Memory photos were taken.
On behalf of the graduates, Ruhiyya Imanova and Lala Naghili, delivered speeches and expressed their gratitude to the University administration, course organizers and instructors, and added that the skills and knowledge gained at the course would play an important role in their career. Fargana Abbasova, a former graduate of the course and Principal of the school #72, stressed that the knowledge and skills that she had acquired at the course had been of practical importance in her career.
Then a slide of photos taken at the course was demonstrated. A dance group of the University performed a program. On request of the graduates, poet Hamlet Isakhanli recited his poem “The life would be so easy!”
Potential School Principals Course started in 2014 and more than 600 graduates have been certified since then. More than 50 of them are school principals and vice-principals.
