An article “Approaches, methods, procedures and techniques of English language teaching and learning”, co-authored by Valida Karimova (PhD candidate), Vice-dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences of Khazar University, and Jafar Salimov, Senior Instructor of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Guba branch, has been published in “Philological issues”, issue 8, 2018, Institute of Manuscripts named after Muhammad Fuzuli.

The main idea of the article is to emphasize the importance of teaching English since it is a world-wide spoken language. Furthermore, the authors underline that all English learners need to make great efforts. One of the main purposes of the authors is to highlight the importance of new textbooks and learning programs which are of huge help to increase the quality of the teaching process.
