On April 23-24, 2018, Khazar University hosted a delegation from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ljubljana (FELU) within the Erasmus+ Programme. On April 23, a program to familiarize guests with culture and history of Azerbaijan was organized. Guests visited Gobustan National Historical Artistic preserve.
On April 24, guests participated in the program that took place on the Neftchiler campus of Khazar University. The program consisted of presentations of both universities and discussions. The Founder of Khazar University, Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli also met with the guests.
FELU delegation included: Ms. Danijela Voljc, Head of International Relations Office, Ms. Klavdija Besednjak, International Relations Office, Ms. Smiljana Zajec, Head of Quality Assurance Office, Ms. Tanja Gvozdenovic, Head of Marketing office, Mr. Dusan Jerse, Head of Accounting Unit, and Ms. Zenja Kansky-Rozman, lecturer in Business English at the Faculty of Economics who delivered several lectures at the Department of English Language and Literature of Khazar University.
Khazar University was represented by: Prof. Mahammad Nuriyev, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Jeyhun Mammadov, Dean of School of Economics and Management, Dr. Shahriyar Mukhtarov, Vice-Dean of School of Economics and Management, Dr. Elvin Mammadov, Coordinator and Lecturer, School of Economics and Management, Dr. Bahadir Baysal, Coordinator and Lecturer, School of Economics and Management, Ms. Raziya Isayeva, Director of Development Center, and Ms. Turan Jafarova, Director of International Affairs Office.
Khazar University started its cooperation with FELU in 2015 within the International Credit Mobility component of the Erasmus+ Programme. Since then five students from the School of Economics and Management of Khazar University benefited from mobility opportunities within this cooperation. Each of them spent one semester at FELU. Currently, three students of Khazar University are participating in a semester-long exchange at FELU.
