On December 22, 2017, a seminar on “Our brain and its “tricks”, organised by the Department of Psychology and Khazar Psychological Service Centre was held at Khazar University. Aygun Isgandarova, a psychiatrist, an instructor of the Department of Psychology, delivered a presentation in the seminar. The presenter gave full information on myths about psychological disorders, brain disorders caused by mental illnesses, impact of thoughts on mood and emotions as well as errors in thinking. Melek Kerimova, Head of Khazar Psychological Service Centre, underlined the importance of a proper approach by the society to the patients with psychological disorders and added that there is a need to raise public awareness in this regard.
