On 22nd – 28th May, 2017 the ‘VIII International Turkish Language Congress’ was organised by the Turkish Language Association, Ankara city, the Republic of Turkey. The employees of Khazar University attended the congress along with the scientists from around the world.

Zilver Huseynli Baylan, the coordinator of the Languages and Cultures Department, acting assisstant professor, Phd in Philology delivered a speech on ‘Turkish terms used in public administration during the Afshar period and Elnura Azizova, PhD in Theology made a speech on ‘The Fuyuzat journal - as an attempt to create a common language between Turkey and the Azeri Turkish at the beginning of the XX century. The impacts and the criticism’.

The speakers were given certificates at the end of the congress.
