On June 23, 2016, the next meeting of the ” Guest Lecturers” workshops was held within the training course “Potential School Directors” on the Neftchilar campus of Khazar University. The guest lecturer of this seminar, held in Marble Hall, was Mehebbet Veliyeva, head of Baku City Education Department.

Mehebbet Veliyeva, who delivered a lecture on “Qualifications and skills expected from secondary school directors”, gave detailed information about the selection process of potential school directors, and providing examples on the existing situation at schools, she drew attention to the personal qualities of school directors and emphasized that they should be role- models not only with their management skills and knowledge, but also with their behavior, attire, etc.

At the end of the lecture, Mehebbet Veliyeva answered the participants` questions.

Lamiya Sharafkhanova, Head of Education Development Projects Division of Baku City Education Department, instructor at Khazar University, highlighted the need to creative, initiative school directors who are responsible and able to manage time and resources efficiently.
