On September 12, 2020, Khazar University’s English Language and Literature Department organized the International Conference on the Philosophy of Language, Literature, and Linguistics (ICPL 2020) online. 82 articles were submitted to the conference with the participation of 110 authors and co-authors. Some of the articles at the conference were from Azerbaijan (25 articles were written by professors and graduate students from Khazar University’s English Language and Literature Department), and others were submitted by the scholars from Russia, Iran, Georgia, Brazil, Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Pakistan, the United States, and Iraq, Nigeria, Oman, Japan, Finland, Saudi Arabia.
The opening ceremony of the conference began with a presentation video by Khazar University, followed by the welcoming speeches of Associate Professor Irada Khalilova, Rector of the University, and Dr. Bahman Amani, Head of the English Language and Literature Department, and Dr. Yasser Hadi guest speaker invited to the conference from Tabriz University. Furthermore, during the opening ceremony, Milana Abbasova, Research Coordinator of the English Language and Literature Department, shared information about the articles and panels with the participants.
The ceremony ended with classical music performed by the Khazar University Chamber Orchestra.
The conference consisted of 2 sessions and 16 panels. Participants of each panel delivered their presentations.
