Khazar University has launched a project to study “The Effects of Nano Particles Separated from the Tea Plants on the Prophyromonas gingivalis bacteria.
As a result of the joint research work by the faculty members of the Department of Life Sciences and the Nanotechnology Lab, PhD students, for the first time, the silver nano particles of green tea (Camellia sinensis) were separated by green synthesis. At the same time, anaerobic Prophyromonas gingivalis bacteria, which causes serious problems for gingival inflammation, cavities, and are common in humans, were separated from the patients through the bacteriological methods. The main purpose of the experiment was to study bactriostatic, bacteriocide and other effects on Prophyromonas gingivalis bacteria at different concentrations of silver nano particles extracted from the green tea in vitro conditions.
