On May 7-14, 2017, 6 teaching staff members of the departments of Geography and Environment and Biology Rovshen Abbasov, Irade Khalilova, Fuad Jafarli, Rovshen Kerimov, Ramil Sadigov and Javid Ojaghi were at Kastamonu University, Turkey, within the framework of Erasmus+ program. During the visit they met with Prof. Dr Seyit Aydın, Rector of Kastamonu University; associate professor Dr Ahmet Sivacıoghlu, Erasmus coordinator; Prof. Dr Omer Kuchuk, Dean of the School of Forestry; Prof. Dr Ibret Unal, Dean of the School of Education. Khazar`s staff members were at Kure Mountains National Park, held meetings with representatives of local NGOs as well.
It should be noted that the relations between Kastamony University and Khazar University started in 2012. Currently, Kastamony University is considered the most popular university in Turkey in forestry.
